Year 11 Graphical piece


1.Create a sketchbook page titled: ‘Graphical piece ideas’. This page can include: sketches, collages and a few photos of your collection. Annotate and explain your ideas for your final piece.

2. Create a final piece of your collection in the style of your chosen artist(s).

You can use:
Coloured paper
Fineliner
Fabric
Wallpaper
Watercolours

Your work should be no smaller than A3 (come and look at examples in rm 58 for ideas)

1.A double page of research on a Still Life 
artist of your choice. Your page must include 
good quality images of the artists work, a 
transcription and your own thoughts and 
opinions on the work.

2.Write up your research on composition.

3.Create a double page of compositional 
photos and any drawings of your own you care to include.

Complete any outstanding sketchbook work.

Year 10 GCSE observational biro drawing

You now have a week to create an observational drawing of a natural form using a biro. Treat your biro like a pencil to produce a range of tones in your drawing.

Year 11 Graphical Artist

Your next task for your project is produce at least a double page on either

Andy Warhol, Julian Opie, Patrick Caulfield or Michael Craig Martin

The sketchbook pages should include: information and opinions about the Artist (use your how to write about Artists sheet for support), good quality images and at least one transcription.

Year 10 GCSE observational pencil drawing

Your next task is to create an observation drawing of a Natural Form in your sketchbook. This should fill an A4 page and you should use a variety of tonal pencils to get accurate shade and tone.

1. Research the theory of composition in paintings and make notes to put in your sketchbook next week.

2. Using this information to help take photos of groups of objects to create still life artworks. Keep it simple concentrating on composition. Use objects such as crockery, bottles, flower pots etc...
